Alex is a multi-disciplinary creative based in Singapore who began his journey as an apprentice video editor at a production house before pursuing his art education at Lasalle College of the Arts.
In 2015, Alex was honored with the Leadership and Service Award by the National Youth Council for his involvement in various community initiatives. Since then, he has developed a passion for working on projects with positive social impact.
Alex was involved in the production of micro short-films for the Yellow Ribbon Project to raise awareness of the programs offered by YRP. He has also explored alternative mediums such as augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) to create artworks on climate change for the Singapore Arts Week with Mesh-minds.
His passion for the arts has led him to experiment with different forms of expression, including painting (Mural Painting for SG50: Hawker Talks) and performance arts (with Ezzam Rahman at ArtScience late: Your Ghost from Yester Years visit me Once in a While). With over 10 years of accumulated experience in the industry, Alex has worked in various roles as a producer, cinematographer, and artist. He has contributed to various branded content for companies like DBS, MBS, DHL, NAC, and others, as well as camera work for documentary content such as Talking Point for Mediacorp.
Believing that creative arts have the power to touch hearts and raise awareness on important social issues, Alex is currently pursuing his passion in new creative initiatives that serve various social causes.
